Our new kitchen

We've been busy little bees this weekend! And here is the finished product - our new kitchen!!

And finally I can report some exciting news...

1. we bought another house and it settles tomorrow!!
2. our current house is now for sale!

My poor boyfriend has worked like a trooper for the last two weeks to finish our house... so its been very busy here for a few weeks! Now its all done, its been on the market since Friday, so now we just have to wait and see what happens.

The new place settles tomorrow, so we can gradually move our stuff over and take our time. The new house is a 3 level split level, and needs renovating - which is exactly what we wanted. And its on 1600m2, so lots of room for the puppies!

Anyway, my weekend - we pretty much spent Friday night and Saturday morning sorting out the kitchen, cleaning etc, getting ready for being on the market. We had a VERY interested person come through on Saturday afternoon... fingers crossed!

Caught up with some friends for dinner on Saturday night, I had a free meal and it was horrible. Beer battered fish - I only ate half of it, and I felt like I had my oil quota for the month... gross!

This morning at 1.30am someone kept ringing BF's mobile... over and over. GRRR After the 3rd time BF got up to answer it - and it was some drunk guy with the wrong phone number. So we're feeling a little tired and emotionally drained today, what with all the stress of buying AND selling a house!

BUT I am pleased to report that I've been extra conscious of drinking water this weekend, and I've been really good with my food - see what a little awareness does!! Today the meals are a bit out of sync though - because I slept in til 8.30am, then got up and took the dogs for a walk, so I didn't get breakfast until nearly 10am! Ooops!

Hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend!

Wow your kitchen looks great! It is the complete opposite colour scheme to what we are getting in two weeks! Our cupboards are charcoal and our benchtops are an off white natural stone! Oh God I can't wait! Congratulations on your second house purchase, how exciting! I am sure you will have a lot of interest in this house with all of the great work you have both done.
love renexxx

I dont know how you could sell it strainght away though - I don't think I could bear to sell our house once we have done - it has been too long coming!

How exciting Hilary, I have seen many people buy & sell & I totally understand the stress of it all. I think that it drains you so much both mentally & emotionally. Have fun moving!!

Thanks Lia, good to hear that you got your weekend routine sorted out... sleeping in is great, but it buggers up all your meals doesn't it?!

Thanks Rae! It feels funny to walk into the kitchen at the moment, I feel like I'm in someone elses house!

Hi Jadey, sure am glad that kitchen is done. Thanks for the kind words, enjoy your holiday!

Kelly we're not sad to move out of this house, we've been in it 3.5 years and it was only supposed to be 2 years max to finish it!! So we're quite happy to move on to bigger and better things!

Hi Ali, it so hard to remember to drink on weekends isn't it? I still dont manage my 4 litres, but if I get in over 2.5 litres I'm happy!

Rene its so exciting to have a new kitchen - you're going to love it!! I think that colour scheme works both ways, and you can dress it up with a colour to give it some life. Enjoy!

Thanks Michelle, the new place needs some work - another 'renovator'!!

Hi Andj, we bought this place with the intention to sell it when it was done - and as much as I love the new kitchen, I'm so ready to move on to the next house!!

Thanks Mel - we are pretty happy with how it turned out!

Yeah Tracey its pretty exciting, but stressfull isn't it?! I cant wait to get into this next house and do that one up too!
