Well unfortunately I’ve been unable to keep my promise to myself of getting stuck into training this week. When I wrote my last post on Sunday I had a tummy ache, this got worse as the night wore on. I was chugging Mylanta all evening, with no relief. Put myself to bed early, thinking that lying down might help – it didn’t. It felt like my stomach was on fire, coupled with massive stomach cramps, it felt like my whole digestive system was in a washing machine with acid, which every few minutes would squeeze itself together. So there was no sleep… it was a terrible night.
Finally in the morning I woke BF up and got him to go get me some Buscopan from the chemist, which helped and I was able to get about 3 hours sleep.
I had to get on a plane that afternoon too – boy did I feel like crap! Didn’t think I was going to make it, and those 2 hours to Melbourne felt like the longest in history.
Anyway, long story short, I felt like a wet rag on Tuesday, but feeling a lot better today. I still feel lacking in energy, but I’m on the mend. Going to go to the doctor when I get home, as this is about the third time in a year that I’ve had one of these attacks, and I don’t know if its reflux, a food allergy, a stomach ulcer, or what! All I know is that I don’t want another one!
As a consequence of this I havent really been able to eat properly, if at all. I’ve been reluctant to eat and drink because of the repercussions! These things were sent to try us I guess, I might start back at the gym with some walking tomorrow morning – just ease back into it. Next week I’ll be back home, old gym, normal work hours, so I might actually get something like a normal routine accomplished!
Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to catch up with Lia while I'm down here - the Gods are against us I think, we weren't able to organise anything due to conflicting timetables. So it looks like I will have to wait until July! (not long now til the AFC!!)
My camera that I bought off ebay has arrived (back at home) – so when I return I will be taking lots of piccies! A new toy – cant wait!!
Thats about it for me. Going to spend some time tonight catching up on everones' blogs. Enjoy the rest of your week!

So sorry to hear that you are sick Hilary, that sucks! Look after yourself and try to get as much rest as possible and hopefully you will be back to your enthusiastic and positive self ASAP!

Hi Hilary - thanks for popping into my blog - not long to Melbourne. Told my coach I was getting anxious and he said I was not allowed to use that word - so my new word is excited, although the old word describes how I feel better LOL
Hope you are feeling better soon - it sounds like you might have irritable bowel syndrome or something - our friend Kerry gets it and she was in terrible pain when we all bunked in together in Melbourne in April.

Gees, you poor thing, I cant imagine what that must be like, I once had some kind of bloating from eating too many sugar free lollies, and that was bad enough.... ;) Hope you can get on top of it and find out the cause so you dont have to go through that ever again, and having to fly too, gees... It makes you appreciate your body when it works like it is supposed to hey, sometimes I get so complacent about my body, I have been given a bit of a reality check today though... will be posting about that shortly... :(
sorry you haven't been well. I really hope you improve and start feeling back on top of things really soon xx
Get well soon Hilary, nothing worse then when you are not feeling 100%!!
Get well soon Hilary - not much fun when you'r enot well. I've been lucky so far *touch wood* while everyone around me has been coming down with all sorts of bugs, yech! Take care!
You poor thing Hilary, i now how troubling stomach problems can be, for the last 18 months I've dealt with those symptoms every day of my life!!!! Doctors just keep telling me to live with it !!! (complications from the splenectomy I had). It's no fun. Yes get yourself to the doctors girl and see if you can sought it out. Might be because your stressed out too. The stomach is VERY sensitive to stress and often reflects the emotions/what going on in life.
Hope you start feeling better soon!!!
I think that our stomaches become more sensitive to 'bad' foods when we eat so much nutritious food.
Look after yourself hilary. Thanks for your comments on my blog.
