What a day!

I am now a Mrs!!

Wow, what an amazing day our wedding day was!

On Friday night, OH stayed at our best mans house. But when I went to bed that night, he'd left me a beautiful letter on my pillow, 2 pages long - and it made me burst into tears of happiness! He is such a sweet romantic at heart, and I am so lucky to have him!

I was surprisingly calm on the day, and my only major stress was remembering my vows! I went over them time and time again, each time forgetting part of it, or just going blank... I was so worried that I'd stuff it up

Getting ready at mum and dads was the strangest experience. (Getting strapped into my corset wasn't fun either). It all felt quite surreal, it felt like a bit of a dream actually. I started to panic when we got in the limo, OMG I wasn't going to remember these bloody vows! I still kept forgetting them - then my eye started to twitch... I said to my Maid of Honour that OH was going to look deep in my eyes when saying his vows, only to see his freaked out wife-to-be with an uncontrollable eye twitch!! Then I started to do the "what ifs..." - what if the photographer hasn't arrived, OMG what if OH hasn't turned up!!!!

Anyway, the eye twitch disappeared, we arrived and got into positions. For the last 6 months of planning this wedding, OH has told me that he wouldn't be wearing a suit, he has never worn one, and doesn't own one. The plan was he would wear black trousers and a shirt, no tie. I had no problem with that, as we are both quite laid-back people. He decided to surprise me by wearing a suit! I was so overcome with emotion, both with him in a suit, and the raw emotion of the day that I started crying just before we walked down the stairs...

Managed to pull myself together by the time we got to the red carpet though, but then I looked down the aise and saw that OH was getting all teary, and I mumbled to dad "oh no, he's crying!!"

The actual ceremony seemed to be over in a flash. I felt all peaceful and calm, and said my vows word perfect, so I was absolutely chuffed with myself and felt completely relaxed after that!

Signing the register...

Walking back down the aisle as Mr and Mrs!
It was an absolutely perfect day, I couldn't have asked for a better setting, the weather was spectacular, and our cocktail style reception was so relaxed and laid back, just how we wanted it. It all came together so perfectly that there is absolutely nothing I would change!
We've had a few days away and are getting lots of mileage out of calling ourselves "husband" and "wife" - I generally fall apart into giggles at that :) It sounds so grown up LOL!
So its back to reality now, and back to work on Monday!
I will post more pictures when we get some official ones from the photographers in a few weeks, cant wait to see them!
